The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry aims to understand why the M90 and M100 models failed to obtain FAA certification, despite having a strong order backlog and promising performance.

The Last Low-Cost Stronghold: Frontier Airlines Set to Thrive in the Wake of Spirit/JetBlue Merger
The Spirit/JetBlue merger may encourage price-conscious travelers to consider Frontier Airlines, as it will remain the only major airline fully committed to the low-cost, a la carte model.
The merger could lead to Spirit abandoning its current model, which has made flying more accessible by lowering costs for those willing to make sacrifices. Frontier Airlines, which has been expanding its capacity and investing in growth, may benefit from the merger as it continues to cater to the demand for affordable air travel.
The airline's focus on serving domestic migration and Visiting Friends and Relatives (VFR) travel has contributed to its success in southern-tier U.S. cities. Read more

Bombardier Thrives as Business Jet Focus Pays Off
Bombardier has successfully focused on business jet manufacturing after selling all other divisions and overcoming a $9 billion debt. The COVID-19 pandemic initially disrupted the company but soon became a boon as first-time flyers sought private jets, leading to increased demand.
Although Bombardier produced the same number of planes in 2022 as in 2021, it has reduced its debt by almost half and raised its credit ratings.
The company has also diversified with a Defense Division and revised its 2025 financial projections upwards. Despite potential risks, such as economic downturns and reduced demand for private aviation, Bombardier has proven its resilience as a business jet manufacturer. Read more
Boeing's Gradual Recovery: Increased Production and Workforce Expansion
Boeing is gradually recovering after four challenging years marked by the 737 MAX grounding, the pandemic, and halted 787 deliveries.
With demand for jetliners increasing, the company has resumed deliveries of the 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner, is hiring hundreds of machinists monthly, and is reopening assembly lines.
Despite progress, Boeing faces steep challenges, including parts shortages, reworking and delivering stored aircraft, training new hires, and managing $40 billion in net debt.
While the company has secured major orders, its focus must be on quality and delivery pace. Industry experts debate whether Boeing should launch an all-new airplane or focus on existing models. Read more

The Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) at American Airlines is supporting new legislation, the Protection from Abusive Passengers Act, which aims to place violent and abusive passengers on a national no-fly list.
The bipartisan bill, reintroduced in Congress, seeks to bar individuals convicted or fined for assault or intimidation of aircraft crew or security personnel from commercial air travel within the US. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) would establish and maintain the no-fly list.
The APFA joins other unions, such as the Transport Worker's Union of America (TWU) and Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), in endorsing the bill. Read more
