Etihad Airways - Strategic Analysis and Outlook Report 2026 (Updated)
Executive Summary
Etihad Airways closed the calendar year 2025 with a record net profit of AED 2.6 billion (US$ 698 million), a 47 per cent year-on-year jump, on group revenue of AED 30.7 billion (US$ 8.4 billion), up 21 per cent.
The carrier carried 22.4 million passengers in 2025 at an 88.3 per cent load factor, with the operating fleet growing from 94 aircraft at the start of the year to over 110 by year-end.
Following its February 2025 listing on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, sovereign wealth fund ADQ remains the majority owner, while the Journey 2030 strategy now targets 38 million passengers and around 200 aircraft by 2030.
A November 2025 widebody order for 32 new Airbus aircraft (15 A330-900 and 17 A350-1000s) anchors the next leg of expansion across Africa, China, India, and North America.
